With Local SEO it is important to build links from other local websites that are relevant to your business. You should also focus on local NAP citations and local reviews.

NAP

NAP stands for Name, Address, Phone Number.

1. You need to ensure that your NAP is consistent throughout your whole website.
This means that you need to have the exact same details in the exact same format.

2. When creating NAP citations your NAP has to use the exact same details and format as the NAP on your website.

3. The resources spreadsheet includes a list of websites that you can use to create some NAP citations.

 

Google+ Business Page

It is very important for local SEO for have a Google+ Business Page for your business. When creating your Google+ Business Page, it is beneficial to fill in as much information as possible and upload some photos. In addition, you need to ensure that your NAP details and format are exactly the same as they are on your website and in your citation listings.

Don’t forget to add a link to your website on your Google+ Business Page as it gives you a powerful Do-Follow backlink.

 

Local Reviews

Local reviews impact search rankings and for this reason it is important that you encourage your customers to leave positive Google reviews, not only to improve SEO but to also gain more customers.

Depending on your business, it is also important to gather positive reviews from other places as well. For example, if you own a restaurant, it is very beneficial for you to also have positive reviews on zomato.com.
